Projects

Our club is involved in a variety of projects that involve fundraising, community service, and assisting children locally and worldwide.  Below are the projects in which we are currently involved:
 

  • Donation to Montana Special Olympics
  • Donation to Missoula Medical Aid
  • Donation of $10,000 to the City of Missoula for the improvement of Kiwanis Park
  • Ongoing donations to Kiwanis International’s Eliminate Project (elimination of maternal/neonatal tetanus worldwide)
  • Kiwanis Club of Missoula Annual Basketball Program (free league for grades 6-8) (see Kiwanis Basketball tab)
  • Donation to the Montana Natural History Center to create the Nature Adventure Garden
  • Volunteer staffing for meals served at the Povorello Center
  • Support and funding for Key Clubs (Big Sky High School, Sentinel High School), including college scholarships
  • Support and funding for Circle K Club at University of Montana
  • Support and funding for Aktion Club (adults with disabilities)
  • Donation to the All Abilities playground in Missoula (Silver Summit)
  • Donations to and support of a variety of local organizations, primarily focused on helping the children and young people in our local community
  • Reserve Street highway cleanup
  • Annual Pancake Breakfast fundraiser held in August – see Pancake Breakfast tab
